What is the Internet and WWW? History, structure, technical aspects, future. Acceptable use policies: An Internet Workshop

Task

To develop an understanding of the history, structure, technology, and future of the Internet through a collaborative exploratory activity (Internet Workshop.).

Process

0. As a large group, brainstorm a set of questions about the history, structure, hardware, software, and future of the Internet. What do you WANT to know? (if anything :-)

2. Create four groups of 2 or 3 ) to work together.

3. Get instructor to assign you one of the topics listed below under Resources.

4. Spend 60 minutes researching the topic using the resources provided (and other resources you can find on the Internet).

5. Spend 15 minutes preparing a 10-minute presentation on the topic to deliver to class. (May use any available tool.)

6. Present topic to class. (max 10 minutes per group)

7. Debrief: Did we answer our questions?
