Spend 10 minutes journaling in response to the following question:

"What is the most meaningful learning experience you have ever had? What made the experience meaningful? What did you learn? How did the experience differ from experiences you would consider routine or insignificant?"

Share your experience with another student in the class. After you have finished sharing your experiences, make a list of 10 or more "qualities of meaningful learning experiences." Post your list to the message forum under "Meaningful Learning." Be prepared to discuss the items on your list with the whole class.
